As much as I LOVE having a blog, I never wanted it to come to a chore. I always wanted it to be something I actually WANTED to do. But with being in school and working full time - it's kind of hard to keep up a blog...no matter how happy it makes me feel. Thank you for the people who actually read! I would feel blessed if you decided to remain friends in some other form! Hope to hear from you :)

The Truth About Cats & Dogs
I went to the Oregon Coast (Pacific City),
last weekend with my girlfriend (not actual lesbian…just a girl that happens to
be my friend). We packed shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, and all sorts of summer
clothing…unfortunately we forgot we live in Oregon. We were stuck inside all
weekend! Of course our clothes was too (well non-existent), for the cold
weather.
Not all was lost
though. We made cookies, drank margaritas, watched movies, and laid around in
this super comfy clothing all weekend. Pretending it was winter. Because going
to the coast in Oregon – even if its mid August – will always feel a bit like
winter.
To our great
fortune, The Truth About Cats & Dogs
was on TV on Saturday. An adorable film about a radio personality (Janeane Garofalo), and
her best friend air head (Uma Thurman). Falling for the same guy with a sexy
accent. He thinks they’re the same person (radio personality with the body of
Uma Thurman….hahaha yeah right). And so the movie goes.
Aside from the
totally 90’s fashion that I ABSOLUTELY love...
the movie also had this amazing song that I
can’t, I won’t get over!

I Love...ORCHID GREY!
I blogged for a while.
Then I stopped.
And Now I’m blogging again. But
the Orchid Grey blog is one blog I have never stopped following. Any friends that ask about blogs I follow, I definitely
point them to Orchid Grey and into Julie Sharp’s (Orchid Grey blogger), capable
little hands. And why am I writing about
this beautiful lady today? Well yesterday my sister and I were emailing back in
forth (we work for the same company and when we’re not busy – or just bored –
we’ll email each other), and this was our quick conversation:
L – I
am SO ready for fall fashion, despite the fact I’m not too fashionable!
R - Such Oregonians, I know I’m ready for fall. I always obsess over Orchid Grey’s closet in the fall!
And then I sent her about 100
pictures from the lovely blog. And sent a link telling her to look on it for
inspiration. I decided I should share Orchid Grey with all of you! Now, I know
that she is an amazing blogger, and has wonderful style YEAR ROUND! But I believe
she truly thrives in the fall and winter months. Seriously. Go model for J.Crew.
I gush…and then I go everywhere trying to find similar things to wear.
Dreaming of marrying cookies to a
sea or hot chocolate. Waking up to complete silence, as snow has blanketed the
earth while I slept. Walking Princess in our hazelnut orchards smelling the damp trees.
Looking out my windows to see the vineyards changing colors. Oh Oregon, you
too, come alive in the fall. Here you are; some of my favorite fall looks by
the lovely Julie Sharp!

Fashionable Films - 16 Candles
Now, I'm not going to go ALL OUT crazy over Samantha Baker's (Molly Ringwald) wardrobe, the outfits that always stood out to me where Duckie's! He was SUCH. A. BADASS. The Otis Redding impersonation is seriously the way I get when I'm listening to music! The vests. The scrunchie socks. The hat. The glasses. So great. I couldnt get enough of him in this film.

Film Fashion - You've Got Mail
I don’t know
about you but I’m all about Meg Ryan and Tom Hanks. Best on-screen couple. I
love them together. But one of my favorite movies (Confession: I watched it 11
times in one week once…yes, I’m aware I have no life), is You’ve Got Mail!
First…I love books. Second…I love fall (and that’s when the movie begins).
Third…I’ve never been to New York but I’d love to go. And fourth…IT’S TOM HANKS
AND MEG RYAN! What’s not to love. I'm always in agony whether Tom and Meg will get together in the end...watch it I know you'll love it! In her last scene Meg Ryan wears the simple
outfit to meet her secret “online” friend and I thought the outfit would be
simple enough to recreate. So here you are…plus some pictures of this adorable
film:

HAPPY MONDAY!
